Bio

I am a Master’s student in Computational Science and Engineering at MIT and a research assistant in the Kellis Lab at CSAIL, where I develop graph-based models for protein function prediction. My research centers on applying machine learning to healthcare, with interests spanning from proteomics and drug discovery to personalized health devices. I focus on incorporating biological insights into ML models, enhancing their accuracy and driving impactful advancements in precision medicine.

Previously, I graduated as the top student in Chemical Engineering and Data Science at IIT Madras, where I worked on domain-informed ML models for chemical systems and fairness-aware decision systems. I am passionate about creating inclusive, explainable models to tackle complex challenges at the intersection of computation, biology, and engineering.

Beyond my research, I’m passionate about inspiring the next generation of innovators. As a mentor in MIT Lincoln Labs' Medlytics program, I guide high school students through the fundamentals of machine learning and its applications in healthcare, encouraging them to consider ethical implications and real-world impacts. I also volunteer in initiatives focused on increasing diversity in STEM, aiming to create more inclusive opportunities for underrepresented students interested in science and technology.
